Dear Reader,
And now it’s November. The world outside is too cold for the beach, too warm for snowmen. It’s that in-between Cynthia Lord calls the breath between summer and winter. I’ve decided to embrace that thought rather than get sucked into the dead-brown-leaves-and-corpsely-trees depression of it all.
Life has been busy since my last check-in; households have been moved and (mostly) unpacked, a child has been given birth to. For nine months, the creative portion of my brain packed up and went somewhere else–maybe to Stephen King’s manor in Maine or James Patterson’s mansion in Florida. Or penthouse in New York. Or castle in Transylvania.* But now it’s back. A little tired from its travels, but inspired and ready to enjoy the staycation.
Here’s to giving it a good journey in the days and months ahead…Susan
*I don’t know if Mr. Patterson has a castle in Transylvania. But he should.
